Wine & Fire in the Sta. Rita Hills

This August 14-17, 2025, check out this four-day weekend of wine-filled fun celebrating the amazing wineries and vineyards of the Sta. Rita Hills.

Things get rolling with the always-popular Barn Party, followed by a laid-back La Paulée-style dinner honoring the Vintners of the Year. Saturday brings a lively Speed Tasting with a Winemaker in the morning, and the Grand Tasting that evening at the historic La Purisima Mission. Wrap it all up with Sunday Funday festivities hosted by individual wineries throughout the region.

Santa Barbara Vintners Festival & Rio Vista Chevrolet Bubble Lounge

On October 18, 2025, sip and swirl your way through wines from over 50 wineries, all while chatting with the winemakers and owners who love sharing what makes these bottles so elegant and refined. Santa Barbara Wine Country is known around the globe for its incredible wines, thanks to one of the most diverse growing valleys anywhere.

Kick back in the cozy Bubble Lounge and sip on some of Santa Barbara Wine Country’s finest sparkling wines from 15 different Sparkling Wineries. With comfy couches, vineyard views, and a lineup of standout bubbles from across the region, it’s the perfect spot to relax and raise a glass.

Spring Sparkling Wine Event in with the Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance

Every Spring, you can try almost a dozen Sparkling Wines made from grapes in the Sta. Rita Hills American Viticultural Area (AVA). This wine region is just outside of Lompoc on California’s Central Coast.

Saunters & Sips 2026 will be held in April next year.

From the Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance in 2024:

“Saunter & Sip your way through the Carousel House, Santa Barbara’s stunning oceanfront venue. Our members will be pouring Rosés and delicious Sparkling Wines that will highlight the tasting fun as over 35 Sta. Rita Hills wineries showcase their current and new release wines. Light bites will include a Thai station, an empanada station, and a BBQ slider station presented by High on the Hog and Buena Onda. Live Music rounds out the event for a lovely Spring afternoon at the beach.”

We leisurely sauntered through the charming Carousel building, sipping wines poured by the passionate winemakers of the area’s renowned vineyards. It was a great opportunity to learn more, as this intimate event fostered conversations with winery owners, winemakers and other wine connoisseurs. There were also fun mini-panels with winemakers, led by Matt Kettmann of Wine Enthusiast.

We tried 10 different Sparkling Wines from the region, as well as new release Rosés and all the Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs for which the area is famous!
