In San Luis Obispo and San Barbara Counties, we have over 150 producers of sparkling wine! That’s right—our own local champagne. Much of this is made in the traditional, method champenoise, and some are Pet-Nats, while still others are made in a more tank (or bulk) style. They are all bubbly and delicious, available by the bottle (and in some cases, by the glass).

Sparkling Wine Flights in San Luis Obispo County
1. Santellan
Santellan is a new vineyard and winery north of Paso Robles, just off the 101. They are offering tastes of all 3 of their sparkling wines on Feb 11 & 12, and Feb 18 & 19.

2. Rava


The Rava family dreamed of being the first Paso Robles winery to specialize in estate grown, sparkling wines crafted in the time-honored, méthode champenoise style. The hand-crafted nature of these wines is reminiscent of the old-world traditions found in the smaller grower champagne houses. Rava Wines offer a variety of Still and Sparklings such as Grenache Rosé, Blanc de Blanc, Brut, Albariño and more! Head on over to their tasting room east of Paso Robles to taste their lineup of sparkling wines.

3. San Antonio
San Antonio Winery remains the oldest and largest producing winery in Los Angeles with over 100 years of winemaking, making it an essential component of the city’s cultural and historical landscape. Aside from their LA location, they also have tasting rooms in Paso Robles and Ontario.
In the Paso Robles (eastside) tasting room, try 4 of their Bubblies.
- San Antonio California Champagne is a classic choice with subtle sweetness mixed with tangy notes.
- Stella Rosa Imperiale Prosecco is a sparkling wine with notes of Bosc pear, yellow apple, and lemon.
- Stella Rosa Imperiale Orange Moscato is a sparkling wine with flavors of orange, lemon, orange blossom, and peach.
- Stella Rosa Imperiale Black Lux is the desirable sparkling red blend, with notes of blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry.
4. Cali Love Wine


This pink disco party tasting room, originally from Solvang, is now open in Pismo Beach, with more pink, beachy photos and sangria shaved ice! Their Bubbles include Stardust Brut Rosé, Gold Label Grand Cuvée, and the Wild Thing Peach Mango Sparkling Wine. Just ask for a taste of each for a bubbly flight, year-round!
5. Laetitia


Originally known for Méthode Champenoise sparkling wines, Laetitia continues to produce 7 unique Sparkling Wines. The vineyard site was specifically chosen by the French 30+ years ago to grow Chardonnay grapes that remained acidic, delicate and fresh with green apple and citrus characters—everything you want for making sparkling wine. Sparkling Wine Flights in Santa Barbara County
1. Riverbench


In Santa Barbara County, the only place to taste a flight of sparkling wine every day is Riverbench Winery‘s tasting room in downtown Santa Barbara, or at the winery in Santa Maria Valley on Foxen Canyon Road. They make 8 different sparklers in the traditional Champagne method!
2. Fess Parker


The Fess Parker Winery is a 30-year-old family owned and operated winery specializing in Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as estate grown Rhône varietals. Fess Parker also features five Sparkling wines that are a must try – Sibling Bubblery Sparkling Grenache, Fesstivity Brut Cuvée, Fesstivity Blanc de Blancs, Fesstivity Brut Rosé, Fesstivity Anniversary Cuvee (made with Méthode Champenoise). Taste the Bubbles here on Foxen Canyon, or at the Bubble Shack in Los Olivos, or their latest tasting room in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone.
3. Roblar Thursdays
The Roblar Winery and Vineyards estate includes a beautiful 5,000 sqare-foot tasting room, rolling vineyards, and state-of-the-art winery facility. They produce a wide variety of wines right here on the estate property, including 3 Sparkling Wines: Sparkling Brut, Blanc de Blanc, and Rosé Sparkling, all made in the méthode champenoise. On Thursdays only, they offer a special Birds ‘n’ Bubbles, a fried-chicken pairing or just a bubbly flight.
4. Flying Goat


One of the original Sparkling Wine makers in Santa Barbara County using the traditional method — méthode champenoise — to make bubbles in-house was Flying Goat Cellars. Flying Goat offers bubbly lovers 6 stellar Sparkling Wines, and a bubbly flight. Just ask if you want to try something!
5. Cali Love Wine
Cali Love Wine creates wines through the use of old world techniques including native yeast fermentations, multi-varietal co-fermentations, and extended macerations. While visiting Cali Love Wine’s tasting room in downtown Solvang, taste their 3 Sparkling wines: Stardust Brut Rosé, Gold Label Grand Cuvée, and the Wild Thing Peach Mango Sparkling Wine. They also have a location in Pismo Beach!
6. Santa Barbara Area
In Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, you can visit Riverbench, Fess Parker, as well as Corks n’ Crowns for various sparkling wine flights, all year round!
