Located in Paso Robles’ northern town of San Miguel, Lusso Della Terra is a tucked-away winery in the middle of the area’s rolling hills with plenty of outdoor space for wine tasting. Lusso Della Terra is Italian for luxury of the land, and the owners have imparted some of that luxury into the wines, including three different bubblies.
They can’t be called Champagne, but all the sparkling wines are made in the méthode champenoise, which is the same method used on classic Champagnes in France. So, grab a table on the patio under the trees or overlooking the vineyard, and get comfy.
Lusso Della Terra’s sparkling wines are:
- Blanc de Blancs, from 100% Chardonnay
- Sparkling Albariño
- Sparkling Rosé
They are available by the glass and the bottle, and are frequently open for tasting, so just ask! The best time to taste the sparklers is on long weekends or holidays, along with some awesome food trucks and caterers.
