Mosby Winery in Buellton: Stelline de Cortese
Mosby Winery focuses on Italian varietals and have an extremely impressive lineup. Most wines are made in Santa Barbara county (just outside of Buellton), but some are made in Italy and shipped over. They have 2 sparkling wines: California bubbles made from Cortese and Italian sparklers made from Erbaluce and Vernaccia. All are delicious, but the Stelline di Cortese is the local one, and it’s a real steal. It’s best wine for the price, and reminds me of a real Prosecco, so I can drink it every day. Perfect for the Prosecco lover.

From Mosby:
This delightful Cal-Italia wine, made from estate-grown fruit. The Mosby Stelline di Cortese, or Little Stars of Cortese is a dry sparkler reminiscent of an Italian Prosecco. This is the ideal wine to serve with brunch, as an accompaniment to a cheese plate, or simply as a respite from a busy afternoon. Delightfully effervescent, our Stelline hints at green apple flavor that leads to a dry, toasty finish. Try this wine with Pecorino cheese drizzled in honey, Prociutto-wrapped figs or an assortment of dried fruits and nuts. Perfect for the holidays.
